Oops.
A day late and a dollar short See here
I'm only half stupid
And the answer was...

Whoopsie
Prime time meltdown
Car loan defaults soar
Fannie and Freddie ran the auto loan industry too? Who knew!
Irresponsible lending, cheap money, and inflated home values, have been an infectious disease spreading throughout our system.
I'm only half stupid
Chronology-Cause/Effect
Cheap Money and the accompanying inflated homes values have infectiously emboldened the entire system into what can be called irresponsible lending practices on many levels in hindsight.
Unfortunately, forces political entities and semi-political enterprises are hard to correct in real time...as we have seen.
Keeping the horses locked up is easier than monitoring them without fences.
That's comical
If one didn't know better, one would surmise from that video that Republicans valiantly tried to impose tough regulations but Democrats stopped them.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
qui tacet consentire
That's exactly what happened.....
...It's funny you find that humorous? If I was a Dem I'd be less so...?

The truth is ......
banks are folding right and left.
The truth is this 'buy in' package on the Hill needs to pass. No matter how much we hate it.
You can include Fannie and Freddie in this mix if you like, and you can blame democrats to your hearts content. The truth is, it doesn't matter who is at fault or how stupid they were.
Playing politics and pointing fingers isn't going to solve the problem.
How many more huge financial institutions are going to go under, before folks figure out that Democrats and Republicans need to vote for the 'buy in' so that there isn't wide spread panic and a massive run on the banks.
I'm only half stupid
Oh yeah
and one more thing.
It is really really stupid to not include the ability for homeowners to go before a judge to change the terms of their loan in a bankruptcy court. It would go a long l way to add value to the bad paper, and improve the fiscal stability of cities and states, if folks could start paying off their loans.
In this socialized effort to save the banks, the idealogues still insist that helping homeowners stay in and pay for their homes is socialism. (!) That's just pure idiocy.

No..."This" Bill does not have to pass...
House Rep's have a plan that is not tax payer based.

Really........?
Let's hear the details. So far crickets.
I'm only half stupid
Partisanship and diversion.
This is a typical answer when evidence complicates and obscures fault and blame along partisan lines.
Economic crisis huh?

LAT won't release video of Obama at PLO/Jew bashing event!

Is this another example of
you not making political hay.
You forgot famed Jew-Basher Jimmy Carter, who has endorsed Obama.
Maybe you could compile a list of Jew-Bashers for Obama.
It could prove useful for the looming deportation trail back to *wherever he is from* after he loses the election to the McCain, for being so clearly anti-American.
Don't forget to research who his children associated with in school. I think you can find his kids have been rubbing elbows with some commies.
