pathetic and sad
this blog is.
But of course, it's all my fault for some reason or another. Blame me! It will be fun.
Happy New Year
I'm only half stupid
Oh, cheer up
There's no need to channel BR just because he isn't here. Happy new year.
Paranoia at its peak.
I know that you think that people are blaming you just because they've got different viewpoints than you do about this present Administration, but it's ridiculous.
Thank you Purpleface.
It will be an interesting year. We'll see if the Republican party can earn returns on the corpse of America. We'll see how many airplanes terrorists can bomb. We'll continue to see the MSM not live up to their estate billing.
And maybe, just maybe the niners will have a winning season, not that I should be unhappy with 8 - 8.
Redskins fan here.
We've sucked for longer, and were never quite as successful to begin with. Plus how do you fire a team's owner?
Let me know when you figure out how.
I know Eddie DeBartolo was the one who brought the salary cap on the NFL & (being a good little mob scion) tried to bribe Louisiana Governors for Gambling Casino rights (like how hard is it to bribe Louisiana officials?)....but GD, he was a great owner. His brother-in-law & current owner John York is a bone head.
Sorry about the Redskins though. You had good years. Where you around for Theisman?
I resolve to
post at least 4 substantive items this year. And research each assertion even more thoroughly.
I've made it a point to avoid the news as much as possible, and
I've made it a point to avoid the news as much as possible, and to concentrate more on doing stuff I enjoy.
Maybe that's what swordscrossed needs... an adventure
channel thing. I can go a weekend without getting on the net but I LIKE surfing the web. It's so easy.
I resolve to add new and different blogs to my usual suspects. Mix it up a little.
War is hell
And a "nice" war that lasts for decades might actually be more hellish than an intentional one.
This is an interesting take
on the Afghanistan situation.
Or are we really not fighting a war at all in Afghanistan?

Late to the party, but happy 2010!
Popping in to say hello, and to send warm wishes for the new year. How's everyone doing?

hey bud, happy new year
Busy after the holidays, but otherwise doing good :) Hope everything is nice in sunny California! What's new?

Doing well, how's about you?
I also spoke with Specter recently (and found myself defending poor skymutt on dkos, heh) so it's like a SC reunion for me lately. I haven't been blogging much at all lately - I'm lucky if I get a diary on dkos written once every four months, and a substantial one even rarer - but real life has encroached on my leisure activities!
What's new with you?

well plenty of different things
But mainly I am getting married this year, and looking for a job in Florida (where my fiancee lives and works). Unless my current company allows me to work from Florida, which would be ideal as I want to stay with them.
I still follow politics but don't write/comment anywhere. I still read dkos, mostly for my fill of liberal outrage and intra-party wars, and see you there sometimes :)
What's new with you?

happy new year everyone
Hope you all are doing well and did not gain too much weight over the holidays. I am going on a diet after this morning sausage egg and cheese breakfast at Dunkin Doughnuts...

A slightly saner version of Pat Robertson, yay.
In our society, people are rewarded for pretending to be certain about things they're clearly not certain about. -- Sam Harris,
Palin is to Robertson as...
...you are to "The Riddler"...
Sure, on the fly there are a few commonalities, but each falls dramatically short upon further comparison... ;-)

Hence, a saner version
They both believe in magic and versions of telepathy. Pat just thinks he has more sway over the midichlorians.

Oh, and Happy New Year!

-4 Strongly Disagree - 0 Meh - Strongly Agree +4Congress pushing bill banning US tech co's from working for US
Government. That's my take on it. See, the article is about backing Google in their new position of not censoring search results for China's domestic market. Google, as well as every other company doing business in China are forced to agree to China's Govt censorship. They all have to do it. Well, China was repeatedly trying to break into Google's systems so Google said 'screw you'. So here we have the US Congress pushing a bill:
"members of Congress are pushing to revive a bill banning U.S. tech companies from working with governments that digitally spy on their citizens."www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi
Wouldn't that mean that would ban US tech companies from doing business with the United States Government?
A Belated Happy New Year To You All... ;-)
Best wishes to everyone this new decade of this new century...wtf happened...seems like I was just partying like it's 1999... ;-)
Berneke looks like he's on the rocks...even Feingold and Boxer are backpedaling on this one despite White House marching orders...
He needs 60...
