Sigh....
We can't even avoid the bible thumpers in Second Life.
Story here
They're like f--king parasites. Is there any realm of existence where one can avoid them?

Hey
I would look at it as a straight up challenge to debunk this stuff. It could be a lot of fun.
You could strip down (isn't your avatar a woman) and have a nice long discussion about being saved, with an evangelical christian. If they complained about your nakedness, you could say...... but this is what the lord gave me, isn't it beautiful!
If there was an evangelical church in second life do you think peoplel would attend? You could go naked.
I see opportunites galore.
It is the economy, stupid.
Nakedness
Is banned on the PG sims. It's only allowed on the Mature sims. Violation of this rule can get you banned from SL. I would venture to guess that such a church would be placed on a PG sim.
However, nudity is very common in SL.
Prime looks good naked.

Clarification
Is that:
A) Prime's male avatar
B) Prime's female avatar
C) Prime's real-life body
D) Both A and B
E) Both B and C
F) Both A and C
G) A, B, and C
My vote is for G. ;-)

It's a free country
But I loved this quote:
Yeah padre, come on in. You won't get it unless you do ;}
Seriously, though, I spent some time touring the religious sites in SL: Catholic monasteries (they rent cells, hehe), several flavors of generic meditation sites, the Hare Krisha site (very comprehensive, lectures every day and freebies for all), the Lourdes site complete with an Our Father animation for sale, a couple of Muslim mosques (one gives veils and asks that the female avatars wear them when in their version of the mosque at Cordoba), many Buddhist sites, a Satanic church, and I attended the Wiccan summer solstice festival on 6/21 and participated in the rites.
I have not been to the Protestant mega-church site but I'm told there's one there.
As long as everybody is allowed in and there are no restrictions on expression, I don't see the problem. In fact, I see this as yet another example of how the Catholics at least are trying to keep up with the times, similar to the global warming / planet stewardship issues mentioned here recently. I don't see them as being the ones who would grief you with flying bibles.
It would be a hoot to chat with a Jesuit avatar.

haha
It would be a hoot to be a Jesus avatar.
Robes, beard, sandals, the works.
Tell them to quite bastardizing my teachings. ;-)

Exploratory findings
The evangelicals have a good presence already. Note my appropriately Christian hovering pose in some of the shots.
Life Church streams their daily broadcasts live

This entire Sim is Christian. Powerhouse club is a Christian nightclub. Hmmm. I did not explore

If the media has a liberal bias
then wouldn't the proposed Fairness Doctrine
actually benefit conservatives?
Or is that too obvious.
It is the economy, stupid.
Liberals and Fox News is hilarious to watch!
why don't they use this foaming-at-the-mouth intensity to rail against Jihadism? no, Fox News is The Enemy! Call to Arms against a cable channel? lol
the front page of dailykos is just embarassing to see! day, after day of O'Reilly this, and O'Reilly that! Time to Boycott!
why? just ignore the guy and the channel, or is this Rosie vs. The Donald, Part Deux??
Or is it all about their own egos?
or is there an upside to this that I'm not seeing or getting?? what's really going on here?

Glad to see you
are having such a hilarious time. Keep enjoying.
It looks to me like the media is having some growing pains.
It is the economy, stupid.
you too! :)
what strikes me is this is a very coordinated campaign, w/some big players -- e.g., Campaign for America's Future is Bob Borasage's outfit -- .. (dailykos, and other blogs, are the smallest part of it)
from the link:
"MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America's Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos."
so what is the goal here?? that warrants such coordination and expending of time, energy, resourses?
- maybe it's b/c Congress is in recess in August, and it's something to do??
- maybe's it's to distract progressives from their futile goal of impeachming this administration?
- or?? maybe others have some insights??

You know how this started don't you?
O'Reilly started a campaign specifically after DailyKos. Took a few random comments to argue it was a 'hate site' on par with the KKK and the Nazis.
His crew then went on to do an ambush journalism piece on the CEO of JetBlue because they were sponsoring the YearlyKos convention. JetBlue eventually asked their name be removed from the YearlyKos sponsor list.
So, I'd say some self-defense is probably the motivation.
I think it's George Soros
and Media Matters are mounting a campaign to take down the no spin zone in liberal conspiracy to take over the world.
What do you think? Do you have any insights????
It is the economy, stupid.
But how come I did not receive an e-mail
..from CAF or MoveOn. I checked their websites--and nary a mention of Fox and Bill OReilly--except related to Global Warming.
is that right? well, that's a good point!
I have no idea; I'm just going by the linked article

What is your source then?
It is the economy, stupid.
this is getting circular! lol
I said the linked article ...look up, missl! in this very diary, i.e.:
"Some special interest groups are pressuring advertisers to avoid FOX News."
I think!?? O'Reilly said he's gonna share some pic from dkos on his TV show on Monday, he called it reprehensibe? or awful? -- I've seen a lot of crazy sh** on dkos over the years!, I can only imagine -- kinda curious -- and then we'll have another series of outrages, no doubt.
see 'ya later!

Tell me something I don't know
Who didn't know Aquafina was tap water? I've known that for years because it says so on the container (at least it did at one time). Aquafina is tap water that has been filtered like the dickens. I gladly pay for it because it's by far the best water I've ever tasted.

According to the articles
I've read
, the labels say "P.W.S." which could be several things
. I suppose if someone did their research (but who really would look that up?), it would be clear, but it's not obvious and written on the bottle as plainly as you say.
FIJI is the best water, IMO.
Maliki says "No!" to the US
Is this you broke it you pay for it?
Maliki and Patreaus clash
This can't be good. More chaos paid for by US tax payers.
Who in the hell is the US buying guns for anyway? The link to this story is now broken...... "Bush Admin. Seeks More Aide, Weapons Sales to Mideast Countries"....... What is up with that.
God help us. How much more of a mess can be made of this?
It is the economy, stupid.
Which link is broken?
Iraq is beyond FUBAR (BFUBAR?).
Next stop: Iran.
It's
the one from this page
Seems peculiar to me. Like the took the story off the web (?!?!?!)
I don't know who wants to go to Iran. That would be sheer idiocy. But with the guys we have in charge now.......! I don't know how much worse it can get. If they keep this up there will Have to be a draft.

hey guys
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I am still on vacation in Orlando until next Sunday - but I will be around for short periods of time to check in :)

I think the bikini situation is so so

Hey Ender
Take a lookie here
and see if you can figure out what is going on. Indie is posting multiple comments and doesn't know why.
Check the admin page for the number.
I think missliberties answered it
if you hit post comment and then you get a blank page or page cannot be opened and either
1. hit back arrow and then post again
or
2. hit refresh
it will double post.
The site might've timed out but the post command already went through so any other attempts will double it up.
If after hitting post comment it times out, either hit back arrow and then refresh, or just go to the homepage and see if your comment is there.

Ok thanks
I was getting concerned since there were 10+ multiple postings at times.
Maybe...
She was just very persistent. ;-)
