The enemy of my enemy is my friend ... and my enemy.
Isn't it nice that we were the friend of the Shi'ites when we were trying to eliminate Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, and now that we've pretty much accomplished the mission, we're befriending the Sunnis in order to fight against the Shi'ite militias? This would be funny if our soldiers weren't dying over there.
What is the Republican Middle East policy again? Which side are we allied with today?

The Republican policy in the Middle East is to get bases in Iraq in perpetuity and escalate and expand the war into Iran. They've been pretty open about it.
