Swords Crossed and Politics in Second Life

I have been traveling through Second Life checking out all the political sites and events, accumulating a lot of photos that I have yet to sort and categorize. But last night's meeting was well attended and FUN (after an hour plus of chat on the patio, we moved to the dancefloor and chatted some more), so I figured I'd just throw what I have ready so far into a slide show and post it. Lots more to come.

This slideshow version will stop if you run your cursor over it.

OK, SL anecdote

Lodi's in a welcome area, helping newbies. Two guy avatars there also, being helpful. Girl newbie says the usual -- hard to find "nice" places, where should she go, what is there to do, etc. Then the other usual -- "guys here are always asking me how old I am, if I look like this in real life, where I live, am I married" etc. Lodi's response: "Men in SL are still, um, men."

Snickers, agreement, and friendship offers from the two guy avatars.

EDIT: But to be fair, lots of guys don't hit up women in SL. Mostly because they look like the Tom-meets-Herman avatar.

AND, one will get ya five that Ender was having an interesting IM conversation with his dance partner last night....

"Men in SL are still, um,

"Men in SL are still, um, men."

...um.... not to mention a large percentage of the women in SL... who are men as well.

Hypothetically speaking, of course. I'm not talking about anyone WE know.
