Obama is toast

I admit it, I was totally wrong... he doesn't have a prayer in the general, should he be lucky enough to hold on to win the primary. My eyes have been opened by some top-notch reporting on his troubled past. These scandals aren't going to stay buried for ever, the MSM is just waiting to turn on him. We as Democrats need to do everything we can to force him from the race to avoid a humiliating defeat in November -- or worse, a win for this corrupt menace who doesn't even resemble the facade his speechwriters so carefully construct for the cameras. Cultists, put down the kool-aid before it's too late!

Here is but a part of the damning evidence:

I'm extremely concerned that my fellow Democrats WAKE UP (is it 3am yet?) and deny this shallow little fraud (plagiarist!) the satisfaction of selling out our party... and our country. Together, we can (yes we can) torpedo his chances, hopefully in the primary but hey, if necessary in the general: McCain at least crosses the threshold to be C-in-C, which is more than can be said for this coke-head (dealer too?). He's getting a free pass from the media now (thank god for SNL), but the charm is fading fast. He got this far because he's black but how the heck does he plan to win against McCain when he's lost every single primary election [in the states that matter] so far? Oh wait, I forgot, he doesn't plan -- he HOPES! Good luck with that!

Still, he'd make a nice VP.

Hillary...... is that you

How are you holding up under all this pressure?

…………

She's holding up a helluva lot better

than some of her supporters.

Regardless of who one supports in this primary I think we can all agree that (a) it's been way too tabloidish and (b) it could have been worse!

I saw one of these trash mags

you have featured here at the grocery store the other day.

Although, I was only able to look at it briefly, as I was too busy digging for dimes in the bottom of my purse to pay for a loaf of bread.

I wonder how Condelezza Rice feels about Geraldine Ferraro's remarks on success and tokenism.

I would imagine that she has no comment which I agree is a wise policy at this time. :-

These campaigns will always be tabloidish and things could always get worse

It's the first time I've ever bought one

I've always wondered what they actually said inside -- whether they tried, with a straight face, to back up the lurid cover headlines.

Suffice it to say that there is no great effort expanded on citing reliable sources, but at the same time the stuff inside isn't as wacko as you might expect either. Of course, maybe I just have low standards.

I admit it, I paid for those

Almost $7 combined.

But I couldn't resist the covers -- those are collector's editions!

Why didn't I think of that. I'm going to rush out to invest in these historic pieces before they all fly off the mag racks.

Strange.....

Politics and entertainment are joinging hands. I was flipping (surely not watching) EXTRA and saw the Elliot Spitzer scandal front and center. I'd venture that 80ish% of Americans didn't know who Spitzer was.

I'd have to defer to the British on what this means.

BTW...if there are any typos here, it's because I'm drunk.

Excellent.....

I think you slurred a little when you typed, ateisth perxsent. :)

It's not fair thaqt I triple checked the message

The details of the Spitzer scandal

are oddly intriguing, and perfect fodder for the gossip rags. Yet another politician sex scandal...

In keeping with the theme of the diary, I blame Clinton. Bill, that is -- he premiered the sordid details type of scandal.

Yeah, you're right on Spitzer

I think the folks on EXTRA may be miscalculating on the ratings it brings. I can see the same thing on Fox News.

ASIDE: It's very difficult for me to GET sarcasm at this point. I'll probably only begin to appreciate your post months from now.

Hmm, always a good target in my experience! :)

seems to have focused on flogging his own weaknesses, by prosecuting said failings in others.

Blaming Clinton

Uh oh, if anyone from the Enquirer is reading this, next week's headline: Bill Clinton linked to NY governor's prostitution ring!

"Some posts even claim...!"  I see what you mean about "no great effort expanded on citing reliable sources."

Obama takes Texas

according to CNN . The caucus tally puts him ahead by about 5 total delegates in the state. (Primary: C=65, O=61; Caucus: C=29, O=38)

CNN Tuesday also projected that Obama was the winner of the Texas Democratic caucuses that occurred March 4. Obama will be awarded 38 of Texas's delegates, while Clinton will win 29 delegates as a result of the caucuses, CNN estimates.

Clinton beat Obama 51 percent to 47 percent in the Texas primary that was also held on March 4, but Obama was expected to win a majority of the 228 Texas delegates due to his caucus win.

Two-thirds of the state's 193 delegates were at stake at the primary, while the remaining third were decided by the caucuses.

…………

California also fudged their Obama numbers

The delegate totals were in correct. Obama has more delegates in the seaside state than previously reported.
