Baby pictures

Some pictures of Elliot at 2-3 months old. I blame him for my light posting recently =)

I wouldn't say that he makes politics seem less interesting or important, exactly, just that he takes up time I would otherwise use obsessively following every little detail about every little event. We did go to an Obama rally with him a while back, and he slept through most of it -- not so inspiring to the baby crowd, are ya Barack! We also went door-to-door for the campaign reminding people to vote and dragged him along for that too, so he's doing his little part to inspire civic participation.

The whole thing has also been a reminder of how fortunate we are. We're certainly not wealthy but we have enough money not to worry about taking care of him, we have insurance and received excellent medical care, we have family and friends who have been a great help and employers who have been flexible and understanding. I can't imagine the challenge of raising a kid under the tougher circumstances that so many parents face.
