Final Presidential Debate Thread
This thread is for the final Presidential debate. We'll be starting the live-blog at 8:45p EST. Readers without laptops (is that like Doctors Without Borders?) may want to know that the debate will be available on Hulu.com . Post questions you'd like the candidates to answer, your thoughts on who might win the debate, what each candidate needs to do to win the debate, etc.

Going into the debate I
have little hope that McCain can do better than C+. I voted for McCain in the primary, but I would not do it again. At this point, I'm voting against Obama and the Dems, not "for" McCai/Palin

-- whichever candidiate you think will put more pressure on the Republicans to cater to you. Votes count the same if they are made enthusiastically or while holding one's nose. Neither party cares why you're voting for them, just that you do.
And not to be overly blunt or snide, but your vote (or mine or anyone here) isn't going to change the outcome of the election.

McCain has to do something dramatic
This is his last shot tonight. He needs to open up the whole playbook. The first two debates have been by-the-book affairs with no surprises, and in a debate like that, the younger, taller, smarter, better looking, more poised, more nimble-tongued Obama is going to win every single time. McCain has to throw Obama off his game.

Its a sort of chat module.
Its more designed for everyone to "listen in" while a few bigwigs do all the typing. However, we're shoehorning it as a chat module for the time being.
I made a comment to Brendan/Ender about doing something for Nov. 4 -- perhaps a real chat along the lines of IRC. We're open to suggestions.

My impression
I thought this was the most engaging debate between the two top contenders so far.
It wasn't boring. Lots of contrast.
As for the winner..... it will be Joe the plumber when Obama takes office on Nov. 4th. =)
