Bugs / Problems

I just noticed that (in IE6 at least) many pages are being cached that weren't before.  This should improve performance at the server end but gives misleading/wrong behavior at the client end.

For example, I just made a comment.  Editted it and reposted.  Then I tried to edit again and the editor came up with the original unmodified text loaded.  This must be because it was reloading the editor page from the IE cache as opposed to reloading from the latest version on the site.

Refreshing the (editor) page clears the problem, but if you forget you can loose previous edits to that comment.

hmmmm

that is strange considering that caching is turned off in the "performance" area of Drupal's setup... I never turned it on. I just resaved the disabled cache settings...

I'll check it on my end.

[edit] Can't duplicate it in Firefox or IE7... Try it again?

Actually, I am finding that I have to reload every

page to pick up changes.  For example, I saw you reply here in the recent comments but when I clicked on it to come and see it the page only had my original comment loaded.  I hit F5 to reload the page and it popped up.

I don't think that I have any weird settings in IE6.  I wasn't having the behavior with the previous site.  I will delete my cache entirely and see if this continues.  If so I will let you know.

OK, IE6 is still requiring me to refresh pages manually.

these will take me a while and I will add more

as I try to expand the features of the site. Unfortunately I only have limited time to work on these things - maybe an hour here and there and a bit more on a weekend - but it will be happening on a regular basis.

Please feel free to comment here.
