I've traveled back and forth across the political spectrum. I've never been a Democrat or Republican though I have voted for both. As I would gain sympathies for one party, too much objective information would make reject it and move the other way...where the same would happen. Soon, I realized the commonality that pulled me Left or Right was really a general sense of libertarianism, a disgust with the status quo and desire to see better results for everyone....and those results seem more obstructed by Big Bloated and Corrupt Government than anything else.

I am still an Independent with no plans ever joining either party. Though I'm libertarian minded, I'm not a Libertarian Party member. I believe in pushing for pragmatism and humility with the system unless a viable party comes along or one the parties changes for the better.

The pains it takes to view the real world's ills or progress as the exclusive result of liberalism or conservatism is too much for me to bear.
